Heywood Announces Studio Rental

I have had my Barn Studio in Waldoboro, Maine for nearly 20 years. Its walls have seen the “births” of probably hundreds of my paintings, along with hundreds of students’ works. Spending my art time in this space has, over the years, taught me what it takes to make a good studio, one which is comfortable and fosters creative thinking.

I have recently decided to share my Barn Studio by offering it as a short-term rental for local artists, artists who are visiting midcoast Maine and are looking for a place to practice their art while on vacation, and art teachers seeking an indoor space for their group (up to 12 students, plus instructor) to use.

Here is a description of some of the Barn Studio amenities:

  • use of the first floor of the attached farmhouse, including kitchen facilities and restroom
  • large outdoor deck directly accessed from studio
  • five acres of lawn/woods with frontage on a small private pond
  • use of 12 high-quality easels, chairs, and small tables in the studio
  • Studio has heat and air conditioning and overhead track lighting
  • off street parking and separate (from farmhouse) entry directly into studio

Rentals are by the day or week, currently for the summer and fall seasons only. Available dates vary, since I am continuing to use this space also. Please contact me for further information at anne@anneheywood.com.
