“I want to thank the many who have visited the Heywood Gallery this year,” says Heywood. “and a Pick-a-Percent sale is a way to show my gratitude to gallery visitors. One of the greatest compliments to artists is to have their artwork collected. A collected painting or print, one that an artist creates and another person falls in love with and purchases, is the embodiment of “sharing and connecting” in the deepest artistic sense. Collectors’ support is, in large part, why the Heywood Gallery can continue to have a presence in this beautiful village area of Waldoboro.”
