It’s a unique ArtWalk Waldoboro celebration at the Heywood Gallery, 921 Main St., Waldoboro, on Saturday, October 13th from 4 – 7 pm.

“I don’t mean to rush the season, but this is the final 2018 ArtWalk Waldoboro, so we’re decking our halls,” says Heywood with a laugh. All of the original paintings at the Heywood Gallery are 20% off that day. “This sale is part of our celebration, and my gift to gallery visitors,” explains Heywood. “We’re taking care to hang some of our visitors’ favorite pieces along with snowscapes and holiday paintings.” Two exciting additions to that day’s celebration are handmade holiday ornaments by Tony Andrea, Scenic Designer and longtime ornament maker from New York, Heywood holiday cards, and some of the artist’s husband’s personal Santa collection.

“My many thanks to those who have visited the Heywood Gallery this year,” says Heywood. “And my deepest gratitude to those gallery visitors who took a painting “home”! One of the greatest compliments to artists is to have their pieces collected. A collected painting, one that an artist creates and another persons falls in love with and purchases, is the embodiment of “sharing” in the deepest sense of the word. The support they give me is, in large part why the Heywood Gallery can continue to be in this beautiful village area of Waldoboro.”
