Heywood Invited to “Make Waves”

AHeywood_The_Break_IIThree of American Realist Anne Heywood’s paintings have been invited to participate in the new Chapman Art Gallery’s upcoming exhibition, “Making Waves”. These three pieces all depict waves of various “moods”: the churning waves of a boat’s wake (‘Morning”), dark and moody waves (“Tempest”), and lazy lapping waves (“The Break II”). “I find it quite interesting that water — a colorless liquid — can appear so different in various circumstances, and has the strength to communicate so many different emotions” says Heywood.

“Making Waves” will open on Saturday, April 22nd and runs to May 7th; the opening reception will take place on the 22nd from 4 – 7. The Chapman Art Gallery, 5 Main St., Cotuit, MA is located across the street from the Cahoon Museum of American Art and is open daily from 10 – 6.
