Anne Heywood paints both modern and traditional subjects in realistic yet simple terms, thereby provoking thoughts, and creating a sense of mood and character. Her internationally collected paintings and drawings are noted for their strong compositions and natural color palettes, as well as their beauty – a reflection of her life spent in New England and Italy.

Heywood, PSA, CPS, PPSCC, is author and illustrator of the book “Pastels Made Easy” (Watson-Guptill Publications, NYC, 2003), and is one of the first recipients of the prestigious International Association of Pastel Societies Masters Circle Award. Listed in Who’s Who in American Women, Heywood has over 25 years experience offering workshops, lectures, and demonstrations. Her paintings are represented by the Wilson & Heywood Gallery in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
